The Last Christmas Tree
About
A nostalgic short story capturing the timeless spirit of Christmas.
One small boy, one lonely veteran, one Christmas tree, and a gift that changes everything.
MITCH WELLERMAN is reminded of the spirit of the Holiday Season, having come back from World War II. He makes a living for himself but can’t forget the girl he left behind – the girl who married someone else while he was on active duty.
TOMMY STOCKTON is six years old and is searching for the perfect Christmas tree. He has some coins in his pocket from doing odd jobs and feels rich, even though he knows he isn’t. With a younger sister, a pregnant mom, and no dad, Tommy is the man of the house and wants to provide for his family.
The majestic evergreen tree on the tree lot beckons both Mitch and Tommy to make the most of their lives as together they experience the miracle of the Holiday Season.
